I like this bloke.

He is really funny.

Just a shame even his team mates don't trust him to take a pen while you are 3-0 up....

;)

I thought Keane was dead right, if Zalyzitzwhatever scored just one, a deflected shot, a defensive mix-up, a howler from Carroll, whatever - that would have left a very nervous 10 mins for Utd as they would only be a kick of the ball away from going out.

John Giles on RTE thought Keane was right aswell, his point was that when he was at Leeds, he was the main penalty taker and if they were losing 1-0 in the last minute no-one wanted the ball, but if they were on a hat-trick there would be a fight.

Giles is right, take the good with the bad and give your peno taker as much practice as possible.

I agree with Rory Fitz too! This Rory business could get confusing though. Too many Rorys ;) . I don't agree with the theory that Keane's decision will damage Forlan's confidence. It can't be any more damaged than it is. I'm sure Forlan wouldn't want his first goal to be a charitable donation. The lad's general play has been great and it's only a matter of time before that translates into a goal. Most likely a very spectacular goal. If Forlan does that his confidence will be boosted much more than scoring a penalty last night.

I think if Forlan took the penalty, it would have been the equivalent of losing your virginity to a prostitute ;)
I think Seba was ok with that, though <img src="graemlins/smirk.gif" border="0" alt="[Smirk]" />

That's an interesting analogy you got there...
