Forlan & Yorke as backup strike partnership ?

Dwight Yorke still has a lot to offer, Diego needs playing time and confidence.... remember how Andy Cole didn't become confident until Eric left... and then built a great partnership with Yorke and then Teddy. Ogs works great now with RVN.
And we desperately need a backup striker partnership. So... Yorke & Diego, last chance for Disco to shine, and provide guidance for Diego ?

I think there is a bit of play acting going on in the United camp at the moment, possibly with the aim of pushing Arsenal and Liverpool to take their foot off a little. Ole took a knock and was removed from play as a precaution but I would expect him to get a match off against Boro and miss the Norway friendly so he is fresh and ready for Leeds. Ruud and Keane just got a rest on Wednesday and should both be back in against Boro if Fergie thinks they are needed, whilst Veron was a genuine concern but again should be back for Leeds if needed.

I would expect Ruud and Diego to start on Saturday and if another striker is needed would think Fergie would switch Giggs over or even throw out one of the youngsters rather than bring back Yorkie. I think Disco has had all the chances he will get now and barring a serious genuine injury crisis don't expect to see him play in a United shirt again.

Disco providing guisance for Forlan... the mind boggles.

I think RVN will be fit, and I doubt that we'll see disco play in the OT first team again.

Thanks for reminding all of us of the fact that our backup strike partnership consists of Disco boy and fledgling Forlan.

Hopfully Ruud and Ole will make a quick recovery or else we're feckED.
