Long hair and long hair? think maybe it'll be a good trend?? we all know how Ruud's been doing... and if forlan matches how ruud has come off... then no one will stop us... i predict that if Forlan and Ruud catch fire we will win the lot this year and the next... you hear it here first..

:D

Forlan is not better than Solskjaer.

Welcome to Manchester Diego. Here's the bench.

I've never seen Forlan play (I mean several 90 minute matches, not highlights), so I wouldn't pass judgement. Have you Raoul?

Anyone, this is pointless. He is one of four. At the moment Ruud and Ole are the hottest, who knows what will happen in a few weeks. When Yorke and Cole were hot it was Ole who was left out, thats football, thats rotation.

Thats having 4 strikers. :D

I've watched him play for Independiente on FSW. From what I've seen he does have alot of potential, but again, making the transition from South America to Manchester will not be easy. I don't think we should expect much from him this year, and if he does perform well then consider it a bonus.

How in the world can you tell? You have to see him play in England before you can judge..it is also a matter of whether he will adapt to English conditions, etc....IMO he will be on th ebench till the end of the season, but next season, he'll come good and perhaps displace Solskjaer from the team( if Cisse doesn't come)

Based on what I've seen of him he is not anywhere near as good as Ole. Time will tell.

Well obviously because he has the potential to evolve into an exceptional player. No disrespect to Diego, but there aren't too many strikers who can match Ruud or Ole's accuracy or goal to minute ratio.

I've never seen him play. What's his playing style? What's his strength and weakness?

The main thing I got from watching him is that he is very adept at poaching goals/being in the right place at the right time. His finishing and in the box decision making are good, but could be better. As for weaknesses, I can't really comment on that since I haven't seen him make any that I can recall. I'm anxious to see what sort of role SAF has in mind for him and how his current skills will transfer to the Prem.

True. One would like to think that some comprehensive scouting was done before pursuing him.
