No it simply means that United are making McLaren the next manager. Whatever player Boro wants to sign, United will sign him first since he's gonna play under McLaren next season anyway.
The only reason why they offload McLaren to Boro is for him to gain that vital one year of experience, so that he'll be all ready to go come next season.

my arse...Fergie is just working with the Andy Cole money.

Fergie has to sell to buy...there will be no Hofland this season.

Any other buys will be on the back of an imminent Dwight Yorke transfer...Paulo Di Canio, Marcel Desailly...these are the only viable targets for Fergie.
 
Redpie's make a lot more sense, mainly because its spot on and also. Does anyone think Fergie would buy someone if he did'nt want the guy?
 
I think Utd should go for Hofland, whatever the money. Blooody penny pinching PLC. Someone already posted tonight that Utd have only spent a couple of million in real terms after players sold. HE IS ONE FOR NOW AND FOR YEARS TO COME. He is CLASS, and still so young. Stop pi55ing about and get him because if Utd don't Liverpoo or Arsenil WILL. :mad:

Look, Hofland has decided he WASN'T going to leave PSV Eindhoven this season even though United would probably try to get him if he was. Money isn't everything for everyone and he'll get plenty of it in the next decade anyway. He simply won't go now.

After seen those videos of his goals I think we should just sign him and then if the new manager doesn't want him we can sell him to Boro :) anyway this "I'm too sexy for my shirt" Forlan is needed. We can't have just two forward at a club that plays in Europe, even Ruud and Ole will burn out with such load.

I was looking through the qualifying games Uruguay played in WC and didn't find Forlan's name on the scoresheet... and he didn't play in the games vs. The Aussies...

I gave up on looking for sites which included the line-ups in other qualifying games so ... Can anyone tell me if he is in the first XI for Uruguay? Is he going to Korea/Japan this summer?
