In the editorial concerning MU players in the WC it was noted that DF hadn't been given a chance for Uraguay yet. Is this really surprising when they have Abreu in their squad. He has everything, superb first touch, incredible control, brilliant creative ability, unbelievable shot and can he head a ball. We should have bought him instead of Diego then we could have sold RVN even. :D :D :D :D :D

I assume you are being sarcastic.

Abreu is more experienced and was in his best form: 28 goals in 24 matches since January including 6 in 4 matches for Uruguay. You don't touch that kind of asset!

Now, the issue is Abreu depends on service, which he isn't getting any. Probably not playing for the right team :( The immediate sub would be Magallanes who is plain shit.

I don't think Forlan will be considered. He wasn't in the national team and is really only there because The People demanded his inclusion but when it comes to playing him it is down to the coach and the corrupt "player-agent powers" behind him.

Thats a great goal Diego has just scored against Senegal. Maybe now we know why he was included in the international squad........

Yeah, that goal was a stunner. Probably the best in that match, a great volley.

Just like to say congrats to Diego on THAT goal - fantastic strike. Hopefully that'll quiet some of the press who have been laying into him, and hopefully we'll see some more of that at OT next season!

:D

what a goal - up yours Boro !!! a very good prospect for the future for which he was bought :)
I'm sure he will do us well next season :D

And he did a great substitute-job (played 2 half) according to the commentators on telly! Nice one Diego! Keep up the good work & and U will be our hero... :D

Take notice of the fact that SAF has been playing him slightly drawn back as a left winger. Today he was on the right.

With some good coaching (and Queiroz might be the man for that) he could be excellent cover for either Becks or Giggs rather than playing Scholes out of position in the Leverkusen game, for instance.

GREAT GOAL! I still think he`ll end up in midfield tho`............ :)

I didn't see the goal that DF scored yet as I was watching the Denmark - France game (what a waste of time I might add). I started watching the Uruguay-Senegal match at 3-2 and I mst say that I was very impressed by DF. He has so much speed and pace. His passing was excellent too.

Can't wait till the next season starts and for DF to show his true abilities!! <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" />
