Forlan and Silvestre

While watching the way Diego played last night against Ipswich, I think that he would be the perfect player to play behind a lone striker. I know it wont be this season as Giggsy is doin the job at the minute in europe, but in the future. Diego was droppin deep last night, turning and then using his pace and skill to take on players, and his passing was also good.

And I also think Mickey Silvestre has been our most improved player of the season, over the last 4 or 5 of months he's turned into a first class full back, and his forward play is fantastic. I think he deserves a lot of credit after the criticism levelled at him in his first couple of seasons.

Yes. Worked really well last week. Not.

Agreed... He took alot of stick, but he's become a great left back for us and hopefully he can keep improving

:)

Totally agree with Silverstre. He answered the abuse on him perfectly by his great performance.

As for Forlan, he still need to prove himself, especially against some more decent opponents than Ipswich.

I like Silvestre. Dunno why. As for Forlan he still needs to prove himself against teams like Arse-hole-nal.

So what if it didn't work for one game?

It's what won us the two Deportivo games, the Chelsea one, etc

Gotta agree about Silvestre. Forlan looks forlorn. (sorry about that)

I wasnt trying to say that Forlan was awesome against ipswich, but just that he looked very comfortable and assured during the match whenever he dropped deep, and he was causing all sorts of problems for the Ipswich defence as no-one was picking him up.

Also like to say that John O Shea looked excellent, looks like a big big prospect for the future.

With him and Wes at the back our defence in a couple of years will be excellent
