I think Rebrov would be a fantastic signing. Remember him?? He'd go for 3-4 mil. Proven champions league player. He'd flourish at United and would be a real bargain. He has undoubted class in my opinion. Nothing to lose in signing him as a third/fourth choice striker. He'd be perfect alongside Ruud, possibly recreating a combo like he had with Shevchenko. It's rheotorical, but I'm just interested to see does anyone see where I'm coming from with this idea??

I think he'd be worth a gamble if the price were right.

There are too many question marks about this lad, but if we are really tight or have a ton of injuries to our strikers, he might be worth a gamble at 2 or 3 million quid.

Otherwise not worth the risk.

You're looking at a different prospect altogether with the likes of Byland Raoul. Raw, untapped potential and a reputation for the unexpected which could se him grow into something big in years to come.

I feel Rebrov would give us an experienced striker at both PL and European Level who would be happy to play second fiddle to Ruud and Ole and who plays the support role perfectly. The risk is in his drop in form (if you can have form when you're not picked) under the clueless Hoddle but at the right price he may prove to be perfect.

Byland would be a wild card who could serve the club well for years and would always give 100% if given the chance. I say take both if the price is right. :D

RC moderator Chris Byland?

Our priority for now should be a proven EPL striker.

Betcha had to check on Championship Manager first though :p

What's wrong with Kick Off?

Mate I agree with ya, I think Rebrov would be a decent signing given the right team and right support he could def do a job for us!

Sounds like he's going to Fenerbache on loan, :( No bargain buy then SAF. break the bank and bring in Duff! :) With Duff we could win the league no problem.

Holy Shit! (watchin prem'ship years) I think I just witnessed a certain Mr. Rebrov setting up Poyet for the equalizer against ARSENAL last season!! God is laying down the omens... watch this space

Even if Rebrov was going for 3 or 4 million. Don't forget on top of that you have to add on signing on fees etc. That could easily push the price closer to 5 or 6.
He was a proven champions league player 5 years ago.

Well, i sat through Bayerns road to THAT champs league final yesterday on Eurosport and Rebrov looked pretty good to me when setting up virtually all of Schevchenkos goals...
