Foreign Language Series

Not really sure why but there's always been something a bit more off-putting about a foreign series than there is about a foreign movie. Probably something to do with there being more of a connection between the characters and the viewer in a series and it's more difficult to establish a deeper connection in a foreign language? I dunno. Anyway, just finished watching Forbrydelsen and it was great so I was just looking for some recommendations for more foreign series - not seem them talked about much on here so there could be a few hidden gems. From a quick internet search I've seen three pop up a few times:

Wallander
Historias para no dormir

Anyone seen and recommend these, or any others?

There was some Spanish show HBO once showed, it was okay, not a patch on the best of British/American though.
