Yeah the scrap & the tackle is where we will struggle, but thats not part of our game, both are illegal in Gaa. You can rape, stab, kidnap oppositions players kids, poison water etc in Aussie Rules - anything goes. They practice on Abbo's before matchday!

From what I've seen, the most common method is to start punching them viciously.

You tackle through using your shoulder, and using your hand to knock the ball outta the hands of the ball-holding player. Its similiar to basketball but with alot more contact!
You can also crowd the player with a few bodies that limits the players ability to release the ball when he's static. The player must not be static whilst in possession of the ball for too long - approx 5 - depending on the ref of course. This will lead to the player turning over the ball to the opposing team - i.e. fouling play!
Great game played by amateurs with professional attitudes & loyalty to their Village, Town, Parish, County, Country & most importantly its people!

I was back home during the week for a couple of days. Down the local for a few pints and Tommy Walsh, Tadhg Kennelly and someone I didn't recognise walked in and stayed for a pint. Good to see they're taking this thing seriously. In fact I think my drunken mate may have done the country a favour by harassing them so much that they left after one!
