Ok so Season 2 will now start.

We had a hiccup when Newcastle stole Yeremy Pino from Sheffield Utd but I've moved him back and added 2070 future transfers to all of your 'star' players that you choose in the summer windows. This way they only leave if you sanction it. Their values may look a bit odd due to this but we'll cross the sale bridge if we come to it.

First, some news!

Two of our Caf managers have been sacked. Let's take a look at the new boys.

A bit of a coup for Derby getting Ralf in. Very cheap at 11m. @The Cat & @BenitoSTARR aren't messing around.

Sunderland's owner @altodevil has been very vocal in his dislike for Beale's narrow formation, so he's splashed the cash on Roberto De Zerbi. Here's hoping for some expansive football this season.

Owner transfers

Sunderland have gone big on Lamine Yamal for £73.5m.
Derby, continuing their youth approach, signed Mikey Moore for £23.5m
Bolton
, continuing their frugal approach, bought Gonzalo Plata for £13.4m
Sheffield Utd
spent £34m to boost their forward line with Elye Wahi

Nice, interesting changes! Just to clarify, my transfer budget is 10m, right? :)

Would it be possible to get screenshots of what transfers we have made once the window is over?

There's a meme to be made there with Pino thinking he was going to Newcastle (and presumably being paid lots) before being dragged back to play Championship football

 Poor Pino.

Interested to see how max facilities plays out without PL money.

Weird to have all that money and barely spend it! Some decent players signed though, low level Champ so hopefully have enough this year to go up.

Interesting that Sunderland sell Clarke and Bellingham.

Bellingham off to spurs there

Think we made some decent signings, not sure we needed Bowler though

Derby try hards
You bought Lamal, you win transfer try hard of the year.

I would have done exactly the same if our rep was good enough.

Yeah we are going to take an early big hit but the facilities will help us develop Moore and Estevao into future world class players.

We’re spending early to invest in our future dominance as right now we can just about afford to take risks and when we become a PL club we might slow down or sign Mbappe who knows?
C'mon Ralf get the chequebook out son.
I’m happy with a couple of those signings though.

Sorba Thomas is a great championship winger at a good age to be eventually replaced by Moore and Estevao.

Appiah is a great pacey inside forward too so we’ve recruited some nice attackers here.

Will Hughes is a perfect high energy team player in the middle of the park on a free too!

Makes sense, I'm interested to see how it pans out. Kind of why this experiment is good actually too. If a slow burn or a quick pump of investment is better.

I know logically the slow burn is better. But a few of you guys are doing that so figured at worst this is funnier.

Two Derby owners playing fast and loose with money what could possibly go wrong?

You'd think having some close to world class players would make it so easy for Sheffield and Sunderland but they're still not quite reaching those heights.

@BD @sebsheep - Sheffield Utd doing the better due to more of their players still being there from the PL stint. Elye Wahi has scored 9 goals for them so far, but it's DM/CM Vinicius Souza who has been their standout player, averaging a 7.17 rating with 4 goals and an assist. Tom Fellows has also been very good for them.

@altodevil - Sunderland are still hovering around the play-off places. Yamal and Sesko have been by far their best players, with 17 goals between them, but AI signing Florian Kainz has been their third best, averaging a 7.07.

@The Cat @BenitoSTARR - Derby are perhaps paying the price for playing the long game, as their signings haven't made too much of an impact yet. Both are still playing in the Under 18 squad!

@SilentWitness - Maybe slow is the way to go! Frugal Bolton top the table by 5 points with a game in hand. Their two signings Costa and Plata are 3rd and 4th best performers in the league, and goalkeeper Nathan Baxter has been very good for them too.

Anyone wanna sack or add money? If not we'll zoom to April.

Might as well let it ride there's enough money there if they want to spend it.

It's tight!

@altodevil - Sunderland finally have a foothold in the playoffs. Sesko is the league's top scorer and Yamal is the 5th best player.

@BD & @sebsheep - Sheffield Utd wobbling a bit? 5 games to go and they'll need to hold on to that last spot. Tom Fellows is dragging them kicking and screaming. They signed Eric Dier in the winter window but he's only played 3 times in the league.

@The Cat & @BenitoSTARR - Derby looking safe as houses which is more than you could ask for really without having their two main signings even be playing.

@SilentWitness proving a very shrewd owner so far! Bolton have absolutely smashed it with their cheap signings and are champions with many games to spare. Whilst Plata and Costa aren't topping the scoring charts, they're the best two players in the league by a mile.

Top season! Looking at the squad it's pretty hilarious that it's mostly normal and then we have fecking Jonjo Shelvey on 32k a week!

Also 42 games and 91 points but only 58 goals is a bit mad. Might need to invest in a striker next season...
