How does Fergie manage to know that players will be on steroids or drugs and ship them out before United's image gets damaged? He must be mistic meg in disguise.

Well done Six Alex!

Well...we don't know what Fergie knew and when. For all we know it could've been pure coincidence. I still think its cos of the book.

Did anybody else see the photo of Stam when he was younger on Skysport's website (it was the section on bad footballer haircuts). It reminded me of seeing the younger Ben Johnson. Stam was definitely guilty (IMHO). Btw, Barthez's haircut was hillariously bad.

Actually they fall into severe depression cause of their sacking or being transferred out of United that's why they go through this kind of bad addiction. <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" />

Definitely guilty? Bullshit. Nothing's for sure, but I don't believe Stam ever consciously took dope. His nandrolon level was just above the limit, which many scientists believe is set way too low, since for nandrolon to be of the slightest of use you'll need at least 10-fold that level (CJ Hunter for example got caught with a 1000-fold that level). The limit however is chosen marginally above the average the body normally produces. It's proven that some supplements have nandrolon in them. So it's up to the medical staff of the club to see to it that their supplements are safe. Now, looking at a club such as Lazio, which not only looks dodgy if it comes to finance or handling supporter's violence/racism.. I'd say Stam was just one unlucky MF. He'll be scratching himself behind the ears when thinking back of writing that book..

Given that other Dutch national team members tested positive for the same drug as Stam, I am willing to give the man the benefit of the doubt on that one. As for a younger Stam looking like Ben Johnson - I am willing to bet it is just mother nature. Jaap is a man mountain in the mould of some Dutch,

As for a younger Stam looking like Ben Johnson - I am willing to bet it is just mother nature. Jaap is a man mountain anyway, and when he was with us he didn`t look beefed up unnaturally.

I think some people are confused about United players and books - they say that Keano has written a tell all book and he has. However, Keano TOLD ON HIMSELF, not Sir Alex. That is the key difference.

Sure, Keano`s jaundiced opinion about MU `bottling it` gives away his resentment and jealousy at not playing on the big night but the man is only human.

However, Jaap specifically mentioned that Sir Alex did something that is illegal and carries heavy penalties in the game - according to Jaap Sir Alex `tapped him`. It goes on all the time so I tend to believe Jaap but what a bloody stupid thing to reveal!

Jaap`s blabbermouth was not content with that revelation - he then went on to say that Sir Alex told the MU players to dive when challenged in European games or something of the sort.

Irrespective of whether it is true or not (and all managers have probably instructed their players thus at some stage of their career), again it is NOT what a player currently playing for a club says about their manager. Clearly, those inappropriate revelations are why Jaap was sold.

As for Bozzie, given he was a party boy before and during his time with Manchester United (much as I think my fellow Aussie played some great games for MU), it was only a matter of time before Sir Alex gave him the heave-ho. Parties usually have drugs floating around them and if a number of posters here can related true Mark Bosnich drug stories then no doubt Sir Alex`s spies did the same.

not to mention that Stam actually said that during a half time break in a match where united was playing badly in the first half, he claims that SAF hurl a chair in the dressing room, which missed his leg (or schmike's) by a few inches..
