After today's performance, coming on top of the Newcastle and Basle wins, I sincerely hope SAF will consider this team his first choice. No matter how good they are, Becks, Keane, Butt, Rio & Veron will have to show that they can earn their places back and prove that they are better than the present incumbents taking into account the way the latter have performed as a team and the spirit shown in the last few games. These performances have been a complete turnaround from what has happened so far this season.

Nobody can deny this. For all one's ability and talent, what should drive the players is unity and team spirit. Playing for one another. As this current team is doing. Well done lads!

Definitely agree. Competition in place can only be benefit to us. It can get the most out of our players when they face fierce competition.

Totally Agree!!!! All the players are playing well. And players like Fortune,Forlan are proving what they are worth of, and are adding nice competiton in the squad!!!

if we adopt 4-4-2 with wings out wide permanently in the league then i think our first teamers including giggs, becks, can do very well also - and possibly even better on their good days.

4-5-1 seem to have hurt the performances of our attacking game and the confidence of those players. this current crop of players playin so well have had the luxury of playing in a tactic best known to them and so are performing marvelously. This same tactic should be applied to the actual first team to see whether the problems have been with the players or the tactics.

Only then can playing this current team be justified.

Agree 100% !!!!
All I know is FORLAN MUST START !
He has impressed me every time he has played and last night was no different.
Our only weak spot is Fortune who I believe doesnt tackle enough.
Thats where Keano comes in......

:D
