I think that I'll go for WipEout HD though, and wait for GT5.

Is this made by the people who did Porsche Challenge? I used to love that on the PS1, probably my favourite ever racing game. And not just because it was the only one I was any good at. Although mostly because of that.

I had a Ferrari challenge on Dreamcast back in the day.

and it was shite.

Looks alright but they soon get boring.

I downloaded the F1 demo for the PS3, looks nice and plays ok but after a few laps it got uninstalled

I bet this is Blimey's "Ferrari Project". If so this will be the most realistic racer ever for consoles. Although they'll probably have to dumb it way down so that it can be played with a pad like GT.

I think that it's supposed to be an arcade type game in PGR style to be quite honest, I do not think the idea is to go up against Forza or GT.

I think also that it includes every Ferrari ever built, so you can race a 1950s one against a 2008 one. I would hope at least.

I only really enjoy driving games when there's the option to give up on the race and just wreck your car up as spectacularly as possible.

PGR is an arcade racer but it contains more then Ferraris... i don't understand why anyoen would spend money on this game when there are better Arcade racers already out.
