And dont start all the bollocks about his buy-out clause. Wave that kind of money in front of their noses and they'll snap it out of our hand.
 
He's good all right. i just have a feeling that he might not be the best option to play with RVN though. Not entirely sure why, but i think we might be better off with one of the other alternatives.
 
Torres is fantastic.

Very young and a full spanish international... bags of skill and sets up as well as scores goals... Would deffinatley be the guy I wanted to partner RVN... I doubt very much he would be as little as 15 million though. Gill says he will not sell him but after the recent fine who knows?

02/20/2003. Atletico Madrid president Jesus Gil insists he will not sell star striker Fernando Torres in order to clear debts.

"Selling players is not the answer and I will never sell Torres," he said. "We must be realistic. If I got £20million for him it would not last five months."

I would prefer him to Cisse or Ronaldinio in fact the only young strikers I rate as being better is Portillo and there is no chance of getting him, and Robino who would not get a work permit.

From what I've seen of him (very little!) he ain't that special.

I have seen him play but can't see him of anything "that" special ... I saw him got sent off once - so nothing that much to help my impression on him too :p

If we going Spaniard ... then I could only think of ONE player who will certainly move on this summer I reckon - Morientis !! I like him a lot -he's that natural a goal scorer, with both his legs and headers ... I see that even Partilo was given chances in Real but not Morientis - that would so much show how sure he will have to leave this summer ... Prize won't be sky-high if that really happens ..

Morientes too similar to Ruud though n'est-ce pas?
cept a bit slower :( the spaniard id have who'll may be moving this summer is Joaquin, but i fear he'll be signing on for Franco's Meringues :(
