Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed he plans to loan out a number of his young players next season.

Ferguson is keen to continue his policy of farming out his best young talent on loan to gain some valuable first-team experience.

The likes of Will and Michael Keane and Davide Petrucci, who are regulars in the reserves, are expected to go out on loan after attracting interest from clubs this season.

"There will be a few [going out on loan]," Ferguson told Inside United. "We'll always do that. We've had eight or nine out this season, including Robbie Brady, Scott Wootton, Joshua King and John Cofie. I went to see Oliver Norwood at Coventry recently and he was a star for them.

"Some of them will definitely go out again next season: potentially the two Keane brothers, Tom Thorpe, Davide Petrucci, Zeki Fryers and Matty James, who was out for a year-and-a-half through injury but is back now and playing well for the reserves. Marnick Vermijl will probably stay here for another year yet."

Ferguson is happy with the talent coming through the ranks at Old Trafford and feels the future is bright.

"We have some terrific young players here: [Jesse] Lingard, [Larnell] Cole, the two Keanes, Petrucci, Fryers, Vermijl, [Ryan] Tunnicliffe, Thorpe," added Ferguson.

Hope he sends them to the right clubs. Our kids seem to get games at Championship clubs, it's the premiership clubs you can't trust. Send them all to Wigan and Bolton.

Fryer's contract situation obviously isn't as precarious as the media would have us believe then

That's the first thing I thought. Good news. Also means that we're pretty much certain to buy someone who can play at left back in the summer with Fabio going out on loan as well but we knew that anyway.

He's not mentioned Pogba does that mean he's going or that he will be with the first team. Food for thought.:nervous:

Think that's because Fergie has already said that Pogba will be a first teamer next season.

Interesting he hasn't mentioned Lingard or Cole. They've been on the periphery in the Carling Cup this season, would think they need another year at reserve level though.

minus the fact he mentions Lingard and Cole.

I'd love to see Petrucci out on loan. He had a great season in the ressies, played alot and fairly injury free which was fantastic after his horrible luck in recent years. Will Keane aswell, he is at the point where the reserves is too low a challenge for him.

Petrucci has looked brilliant. There is real hope for him. Will could do with a bit more meat on him for the rigours of the premiership. A loan could do him the world of good. Look at what it did for Danny.

I meant in terms of going out on loan.

'Boro are supposed to be interested in taking Will Keane for loan, next season. Will be a good move for him, Mowbray usually plays good football.

I just hope we're not here months down the line, moaning that they're not getting games. This kiko situation, is completely unacceptable.

Think that is due as much to his attitude rather than his ability.

Don't think attitude will be the problem with the Keanes, Petrucci etc.

Realistically how far are Ryan Tunnicliffe and Wil Keane away for competing for that extra bench out of the first team picture spot?

I don't think anyone's ready to step into the first team squad next season but with a bit of luck with loans and injuries, a few could be no more than a year away. Really hope to see some Premiership loans next season. Tunners and Brady are obvious candidates, having already done well in the Championship.

think Petrucci could be good for a PL move, maybe to Blackpool if they can sneak past through the play offs

Is there a limit on loanees to individual clubs in the same division? I know we've had more than one at a Champo team (when Fergie Jr was manager), but can that happen in the prem?

If so, I'd seriously consider sending 3 kids together to Wigan. Great manager, good playing style and great opportunity to get lots of minutes. I'd consider sending Petrucci, Macheda and maybe Matty James there if they'd have em. Dave Whelan loves us too :)

Terrific young players, but they still can't get a game.

I'd love to see Petrucci out on loan. It could do both Will & Michael Keane a world of good also.

Are you surprised when you look how fans respond to young players like Jones, Welbeck, Cleverley or Rafael when they have one or two bad games. There is a queue of fools waiting to write them off as not good enough.

If these young lads aren't mentally or physically ready yet at 18 or 19 or even 20 then they need to go out and get experience somewhere expectations aren't as high, so they can return to United prepared for whats to come.

Out of all the lads he mentioned, i'd say only six or seven of them have a real chance of making it here. However most of them will still go on to have a premier league career. We just need to be patient and see how they develop.

agreed. especially considering his relative lack of involvement this season compared to last.

Yep my interpretation of that is he's well ahead of the pack in terms of development V age. Always felt there was something classy about him as a defender. Bit like Evans at that age in certain regards.

Norwood deserves a mention too.
