Fergie should give Ricardo a chance

I'm not dumping Barthez because of any thing he did recently. I just think Fergie should give Ricardo a couple of games as number one so that he can prove himself. I live in Spain (and support Man Utd) and I can easily tell you that Ricardo is one of the best Spanish keepers. Infact, I have no doubt that if he had enough games, he can seriously do better than Brathez who you've got to admit is not very good for a team like Man Utd.
Ricardo is a more consistant player and the only reason he isn't popular is because he used to play for a small club. Honestly, Barthez is nowhere near the best keeper in the world (am not saying Ricardo is). Ricardo is just better. What do you think? :D

He hasn't done much to impress me in the couple of games i've seen him play. I've no doubt he'd be a solid keeper but not in the same league as Fabien. I'd rather see Roy Carroll play.

Barthez for all his antics is probably the best 1 on 1 keeper in the world at this time.

he rarely lets freekicks in as his positioning is top notch, he has top reaction, maybe he could communicate better, but all in all he miles better than ricardo and carrol.

Carroll is good, he reminds me of Van der Gouw which is high praise as he was class keeper just had the number 1 in the world to compete with.

Sorry but Carroll never gave me enough security. A very decent young goalkeeper and may do well in a 1st div club, but nowhere near as good as VDG. That's why Fergie got Ricardo. I haven't watched Ricardo play yet, hope I can see him play asap.
