I get the impression that SAF has spent too much time and money attempting to build a team for Europe that he has neglected the bread and butter of the PL.

Veron is clearly someone who suits the CL more than the PL and his performances in each show. Blanc is also someone more suited to the slow style of european games.

i agree & its frustrating.
However, if we went back about a year & a half on this board, quite a few people thought we could afford to take it easier in the PL & concentrating on europe would take us to the next level. Could we do a Madrid?
No we bloody cant, and unfortunately the players mindsets now seem to be consistently stuck in European mode. Fergie, stop dicking about with the tactics & give all of those feckers a bloody great big kick up the arse.
I smell the sale of a 'superstar' or 2 in the summer..
