As reported Ferdinand could be sold to man utd for 25million quid. But surely if nesta was available from Lazio, then we could get him for 25million quid.
So who would u choose :

Ferdinand

OR

Nesta

A) If Lazio sell Nesta it would be for over 25m. Hype is worth a lot of money.
B) Ferdinand. British, younger...

Ferdinand. He is younger and the next Beckenbauere!

Nesta. Ferdinand is younger but when the ages of the respective players are 23/24 versus 25/26, I don't think that it's a big deal...

From what Kevin said I will revert to Nesta by tow light years! :)

I've said too many times that Nesta won't come. Still there are too many people playing CM who simply think money can buy anyone in the world.

However, if Ferdinand really cost 25m it's definitely too expensive. Why not spend 30m and get BOTH Thuram and Ayala?

Easily Ferdinand. Not knocking Nesta, but Rio has experience in England and he knows the lads well from the England set-up. Would still prefer Ayala / Thuram though. ;)

Did you really think we'd sign Veron this time last year?? and don't give me the Italian Internationals don't play abroad crap - Vieri was at Ath Madrid during the last World Cup.

If there was a choice it would definitely be Rio, his record in the EPL speaks for itself,he's younger, and does not need time getting used to the pace of the EPL. Nesta may or may not work in the EPL. But then why speculate when it's a near impossibility that either one of these players are going to Man Utd.

Who says we can't get them both for 30m? I'd be staggered myself. Anyway, they are hardly the greatest long term solutions. One of them, yes, both - no. They'd just block the younger Brown and O'Shea.

But buying Thuram and Ayala would almost most probably make us tighter at the back. Not knocking Brown and O'Shea but we know that they are not quite the answer to our defence just yet. They will be in the coming years but not quite now!

Both Nesta and Rio are young. Nesta is only older by two years, in which case age really isn't a problem. Nesta has more experience if anything.

They won't if all they do is sit on the bench and play ocassionally. Fergie's words about Bruce-Pallister means he really wants a partnership that would play very regularly. We beed Blanc for another season and a new centerhalf, not two.
