Ok, so I had this problem:

I turned on the Xbox and it booted as normal, loaded my profile, everything was fine.

I insert the FIFA09 game disc and the game loads, again, all is fine, then it tells me that I don't have a profile loaded so I can't save. I think to myself "wtf I was signed in a second ago". So I try to sign into my profile and it is faded out and I can't select it. I restart the game 3 times and this continues.

I swear a lot at this point, then I turn off the system, and turn it back on and it works fine.

What the feck was that about? Anyone else have this problem? What happened to the days of popping the game in and just going. This fecking dependence on online connectivity and user accounts is bogging things down.

I'd just like to say that i fecking love my XBox and haven't had a single problem with it.

Must be.

My mate did get the dreaded RROD after a few years, but Microsoft replaced it free of charge no questions asked.

Something i bet Elvis wishes Sony did :lol:
 
Also my ps3 can feck off. Still won't work with my HDMI cable and refuses to recognise any of my final fantasy discs.

Microsoft only extended the warranty because a ridicolous amount of their consoles were failing.

Sony have the industry standard failure rate. Unfortunately I am one of those few:(

Well I have a ps2, but only a ps1 memory card so I can't even play FFX. Feck the fecking system.

the other day i turned mine on and had no options on the dash, just 1 square from each section, mainly the adverts for something on xbox live
