REC.

Honourable mentions to 28 Days Later and Dawn of the Dead Remake (thats right I prefer it to the original)

Go.

Shaun of the Dead for me too.

Not keen on the Dawn of the Dead orignal or remake for that matter.

I liked 28 Days Later, it wasn't scary, but felt slightly more chilling being set in this country, so it had a far more familiar feel to it.

A classic!

Shaun of the dead.
Dawn of the Dead(Snyder's) wasn't very good after the Johnny Cash title song.

The original Day of the Dead with Bub the zombie. I actually felt sorry for bub when his doctor pal was killed.

Shaun of the Dead
28 Days Later

Not many great ones out there, the first ones hilarious and the second film is everything I Am Legend attempted to be but wasn't.

Dawn of the Dead (original)

Fantastic. Legendary. It's the George Best of zombie flicks.

Re-Animator was good. I enjoyed 28 Days Later. Zombieland and Shaun of the Dead if looking for spoofs and laughs.

I haven't seen Zombie but have heard it was great.

Sky have just had Zombieland on their comedy channel.

What sort of decision is that? What next on their comedy channel, The Passion of Christ, Schindler's Ark, 2001 A Space Odyssey?
Actually 2001 should be on the Totally Boring channel, but that's beside the point.

Zombies is serious business, they could be anywhere.

Dawn of the Dead (1978) is the ultimate zombie movie (especially the European "Argento" cut, with the Goblin soundtrack)

Night of the Living Dead (1968) is very cool as well. Honorary mentions to Zombi Holocaust (a mix of cannibals, zombies and mad scientists!), The Beyond, Zombie Flesh Eaters & Living Dead at the Manchester Morgue.

Never heard of that Rec flick till I saw this thread... I, coincidentally, watched Cloverfield just before (just cause it needed seeing) and as far as similar approaches in terms of filming go Rec won out big time.

Other than that, huge fan of the 28 days/months films as well, and Shaun of the Dead's a great laugh... And I haven't seen any of the Romero flicks aside from Night of the Living Dead, which was cool.
