I'm quite a movie fanatic, just wanted to get an idea of what people's favourites are. For me, personally, i think City of God still does it for me. For some reason i also loved The Last Samauri, and Snatch is brilliant too.

That would probably be my fave 3.

Snatch is class, as well as Lock, Stock.

I just watched Die Hard for the first time in years, class film.

The Score
The Warriors
Primal Fear
Die Hard trilogy
Rambo Trilogy
Rocky 1 and Rocky Balboa
The Usual Suspects
The taking of the Pelham 123
Assault on Precinct Thirteen (1978 original)
12 Angry men
The Bedford Incident
Fight Club
The Godfather

Apocalypto - lots of tension, brilliant chase scenes and a bit of revenge
City of God - this movie is a work of art
Cinema Paradiso - sentimental in a brilliant way
The Wicker Man ( original version) - spooky british horror at its best
JAWS - I think its my favourite film of all time, just love it
The Score - worth it for the ending alone
Bad Boy Bubby - little known cult Australian gem, buy it if you see it
The Life of Brian - funniest film ever ? I think so
A Wonderful Life - sentimental exploitation, it will make even the toughest cry
Deliverence - Great performances from all involved and a brilliant guitar solo

Fight Club
Seven
Con Air
Dumb and Dumber
Mean Machine
Transporter

Walter Matthau's clever cop against Robert Shaw's baddie in charge, this is an under-rated gem

I've seen some of my glaring omissions having read through. The Score was one of my favourite's too, Edward Norton was amazing, as he was in American History X.

Casino was a great film too, and i like Bronx Tale and Carlito's Way.

Feck it, other additions:
Scent of a Woman
Pulp Fiction
Closer (sad, i know)
Usual Suspects
Enemy of the State
Arlington Road
Mystic River
Shawshank Redemption
Off the top of my head, there's obviously a lot of other very good films.

Am i allowed to add The Lion King onto that list without seeming too sad?

Lord of the rings trilogy
Pirates of the Caribbean 1
Star Wars
Italian Job
Last Samurai
Back to the Future trilogy
Batman Begins
Harry Potter 1
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade

in no particular order

I don't really like Sci-Fi or Horror films much personally mind, well, Horrors can work sometimes, but never been in that space stuff. Only a few classy ones like Armageddon, or ones with a twist, but i'm not a Star Wars or Star Trek guy.

I've grown out of stupid action flicks too, you know, the ones that are like 'I'm Jack and i'm a cop', and then the usual explosions and stuff that follows.

I am suprised American Beauty and K-PAX are not mentioned yet.

I have a soft for Kevin Spacey nowadays.
