Forgot he even came here, IIRC- we were fecking desperate at the time: Bosnich injured, Taibi too shit, Van der Gouw injured.

You know you're not United quality when you're replaced after 60 minutes by the usual second choice keeper (VdG) who hadn't fully recovered from a hamstring injury.

For all the stick Barthez gets in here, at least his arrival gave us a clear 1st choice keeper, who wasn't nearly 40.
