YES suspends Manchester United programming

New-York based regional sports TV network Yankees Entertainment and Sports (YES) has suspended ALL Manchester United programming pending the resolution of its TV rights dispute with FOX Sports International, according to a report by Bloomberg News.
YES suspended Manchester United programming after the April 22 airing of Chelesa vs Manchester United on 2-day delay.
YES had reached an agreement with Manchester United Television (MUTV) to air 20 matches involving Manchester United each season. YES parent YankeeNets, Inc. has a joint marketing deal with MUTV parent Manchester United Football Club PLC (LSE: MNU).
However, FOX had purchased EXCLUSIVE US TV rights in all languages to the English Premier League through the 2003-2004 season via its participation in a worldwide consortium involving FOX parent NewsCorp (NYSE: NWS). FOX officials have vowed to vigorously defend its TV rights
