I had a thread named Daniel something going on.

Went out to study and came back and it's disappeared like it was never there.

Am I overdosing on the red bulls? Or was it deleted.

What about my 'what are we smoking thread' I didn't see anything wrong with it. Why was it deleted.

Around 7m people smoke cannabis in the UK alone, and nobody was being pushed into smoking cannabis during the thread. It was acting more as a collection of good advise on how not to use and abuse it as a drug.

If alcohol was invented tonight, it would be a class A by the morning, yet cannabis seems to remain a taboo subject.

Probably down to the fact that you were all incriminating yourselves by posting the pics.

We have many younger posters for one thing.

For another there are lots of better places to discuss illegal drug use, post porn and lots of the other idiocy that seems to infest the general these days.

We don't mind sensible debate on drugs as an issue but given the broad range of ages and nationalities on here need to be a bit careful about being seen to encourage the use of illegal substances. There was some good debate in there from Pogue but the fact that the bulk of the thread was simply pictures of tonights top draw event and talk of how high people were going to get made a few mods feel uneasy about it with the eventual result being it's deletion.

You know my views on the issue from the other thread and there is a split in opinion as to whether drugs should be discussed too openly on the forum. I'm of the opinion that brushing drugs under the carpet has patently failed as a means of dealing with the "menace". It's also a lousy way of hiding your stash in a hurry as you end up smoking mouse droppings and everything else that accumulates under student sofas when you try to reclaim it later ;) . If a thread's basically a glorification of drugs however and offers little by way of balanced debate then it's always going to run the risk of falling foul of a mod who is more sensitive about the subject.

It would be irresponsible of us as a site to basically encourage teenagers to be buying up drugs by letting people post pictures of their wonderful weekend finds.

Discussions of drugs and drug issues is fine. 'Duud, look @ my sweet drugz - kids its kool 2 do the drugz!' is not for many of us.

Unlike alcohol, drugs are illegal in the vast majority of the places the Caf is viewed in.

Bury is a muppet.

Oh, and as for the naming thread thing, this has come up quite a few times this week.

In one case, we can't have people called out by name in a personal/abusive way in thread titles in the football forums just for the sake of disagreeing with some point from another thread.

In this case, as Blunder said it isn't really fair to post personal details of people without their permission.

Ironic given the number of times the particular name called out in this instance has done it to other posters however.

Both issues are however connected in terms of how much personal information some of you are willing to give away on line. It shouldn't be our job to protect you idiots from yourselves but with the amount of personal information some of you seem happy to divulge to complete strangers on the net, you've got to wonder quite how stupid it's possible to be.

Have none of you considered that just as a prospective employer has always called a reference or two to check out a candidate they might not also enter your name in google to ensure they're not employing a chronic pothead or someone who likes to display his mangina to complete strangers?

I may well be a muppet, but at least I'm a muppet who manages not to incriminate himself all over the net.

I don't even know who Daniel is, Robert.

That pic just emphasises how big of a dickhead I truly am.

Once you go muppet, nothing else can stuff it.

I believe it was Pert and while I don't think SiYuan was stirring it in this instance it was destined to be yet another round in the never ending Pert saga that we could really do without.

Yeah ok, fair enough. I was just posting pictures as I just wanted to see what other people were smoking around the world.(out of interest alone) Whilst also using it as a record of all the different strains of cannabis I had tried. But thanks for given me a well reasoned answer anyway Bury.

Gutted I missed out on this thread, usually don't bother with the general... :(

Quite funny though, a big picture of two buds of Skunk in the first post. Not exactly safe for work is it?

Ceks can you start another thread that's more for debate? l don't see anything wrong in talking about it. It's not exactly hard to find stuff on the net about it but its interesting to see other Cafster's opinions and such...

You said 2 million in the thread.

Actually I was recently clearing up my desktop on my laptop, when I found the notes I had made before I was on BBC Radio 5 Live this summer during a debate on cannabis on the Victoria Derbyshire breakfast show. 2 million regular smokers, but a suspected 7 million people who use the drug on an irregular basis. But these type of statistics that require participant honesty should never be treated as fact.

Yeah right:
Idiot.

If you read the thread, and put my quote in context, you just might realise I wasn't actually being serious. Light hearted humour, ask esmufc himself if he ever felt pressured into smoking cannabis. I was actually already fully aware of esmufc's stance towards cannabis from speaking with him previously on this forum.

Your latter quote shows up to be nothing more than a fraught attempt to furnish your claim with any substance.

That thread in no way attempted to 'push' the use of cannabis to any redcafe member. If it had of done, I would have expected it to have been deleted a lot sooner.

How about I post 15 examples of the good advice that was posted in that thread?

What kind of person feels the need to traipse through a closed thread in order to get involved in a debate that is in the Mod Forum, over a topic that actually has nothing to do with him whatsoever.

Shockingly petty attempt to try and show me up as a liar. If you've got nothing better to than this; then you really need to grow up and get a life

Go on....

*gets out pen and paper*

The censoring software has edited the last url. f a p are the missing letters of the url. My mate caught his teenage son surfing on that one and I found the name a tad amusing unlike his son who was bright red when he was relaying the story to us.

Feedingseagulls's love child?

SiYuan knows full well who it was, his comment "he has a Pert face" kind of gave it away

Well I had a vague idea who it was but didnt know until he accepted my request.

Facebook doesnt allow you to view pictures of members without being friends.

I reckoned it could have been someone on the caf trying to be funny.

You're an Arsenal supporter on a United forum who seems to smoke pot all day and post pictures of it.

But if you say I need to get a life then I should really think about it...
