I'm not about to express views either way on the thread in the general. Only that its a shame that its become a little shambolic really.

I'd like to see it go forward, it could actually be fun and could create some good banter afterwards. I'd volunteer myself to execute the draw and organise the SS if we feel its salvageable, however, I'm not entirely sure people would take me all that seriously (historically coming across as a twat mostly goes against me).

Alternatively we (the guys who have put ourselves forward) could be asked to get together and elect a charity to which we could send a small donation. Keeping with the spirit of the season.

I'd prefer that the SS goes forward, even as a symbol of team effort that we should promote here IMO, but I was just trying to think of alternatives.

Pick a Charity like a children's hospital and everyone send the presents to someone who can go in and deliver them....

It just suddenly occured to me baz, ghosted out of the midday haze like.

I had a funny idea that you'd like it somehow, and I knew that secretly you'd kick yourself for not thinking about it first and maybe suggesting it to me by pm so that I could post it and gain some well deserved respect from those who count.
 
The charity thing is a top idea, but i think it'd be good to still send other members 'gifts' too.

In the thread i said i'd happily help out by running it or doing what i could, and that's still the case.

Basically the arguing and what not needs to be put to stop sooner rather than later.
 
I personally don't have a problem with it going ahead, and whoever doing it, so long as they've been around long enough to not be REVELZ.

On the other hand though, now that the issue of trust is an issue, technically, no one is in a position to do it, unless they personally know every single other person on the forum.

I think most will have to rethink their presents if your sending them to charities, don't think they'd be too impressed receiving a load of butt plugs, dildos and blow-up sheep.

In that case I will volunteer to do the draw. I'm certainly not revelz. Everyone involved must agree to trust me with their details before hand obviuosly. Can I put it to a pm vote amongst the 21 or so people already signed up??

Geebs, sorry I didn't realise you had said that. Perhaps you name and position would be more acceptable to the populus, therefore drawing more names onto the list.

I will gladly retract my offer if you feel the same about this point.
 
I'll be honest here and hopefully solvista won't be too offended. I personally would prefer it if someone that has been on this site longer would do it, but if there are posters that can genuinely for the integrity of solvista, I'll happily change my mind. :)
I was happy with brad in charge of this because I've conversed with brad numerous times on this fourm and he has organised a lot of things with no problems.

None taken, read my second to last post here, I know that I'm a relative newbie, and that someone like GB would be a much more comfortable bet for most of the fellas on the list. Hopefully he will ake on the job.
