Dyer - Leeds link ludicrous

Kieron Dyer has labelled reports linking him with a big-money move to Leeds as "ludicrous" - and has tipped Newcastle for a top-six finish.
The England international has been the subject of constant speculation linking him with a £20million switch to Elland Road, but he insists he has no intention of leaving Tyneside.
He said: "National tabloids have been desperate to send me to Leeds but all I'm thinking about is getting back to playing for Newcastle.
"A lot of the stories have been so ludicrous they've made me laugh. Leeds were supposed to have made a £20million bid in the summer but I wasn't even fit.
"How were they going to spend £20million on a player who couldn't kick a ball let alone pass a medical?"

:p

Good lad, Kieron.

Your boys rode thier luck last night Marching, Grasshoppers must have had about 5 decent chances in the space of a couple of minutes, then that dirty little smith pops up! ;)

Smithy played well last night and fully deserved his goal - as you know its all about taking chances. :D

Hows life in the CL by the way? ;)

Big talk considering we did the double over you last year.

PS. You going to be at SJP for NUFC-Leeds?

He was a gobby little fecker all night, and you well know it! Can't wait till someone turns round and gives him a slap, he needs it!!

The champs lge is good fun thanks, I am sure we will enjoy playing the next 5 games, after all we ain't out yet, although you wouldn't believe looking around here! ;)

Translation - Once we've sorted out our loan we may be able to make a bid with all the money that we have borrowed.....

;)

P.S Marching, what do you make of O'leary not taking a full set of substitutes? why not give a couple of youth players the experince of being on the bench in a big away game?

Questions questions questions...which TiT shall I start with ;)

Geordie...history was not one of my favourite subjects ;) - this season is what counts and after my trip last week down the road to mackem land I cant see us cocking it up on our trip to SJP in January....yes I will be there - you going to buy me a pint?

FIG.....he has improved his temprement so much as now he gets more free kicks than he gives away. Its all part of a centre forwards job to wind up ther defence and Smithy does it really well now. If he gets a slap and the ref sees it all the better!

Knoxy....You have been listening to that comedy double act Softy and Dafty - If we did not have any money how did we pay 7 million for Seth Johnson? We are getting a new stadium and paying 50 million for it...thats not easy without any money! If DOL needs to buy money is there for him!

As far as taking only 15 players to win in Zurich...the problem was that any cover we had for first teamers from the youth set up were injured too and thats why DOL says we are not able to compete with the big boys like you ;)

Would do, mate, would do. Something for you to drown your sorrows in after another loss. But unfortunately I'm not going to be there meself. Will be in America for the next two months or so.

In all honesty, you think a loss away at SJP would be a 'cock up'? We may not be real challengers this season but on our day we can (and do) beat the best of them. If we play like we did against West Ham you'll come away with three points, but you're just as likely to come up against the team than annihilated Villa.

What you doing in the soft south and America?

(Says the 'faithful' white living on the Tyne <img src="graemlins/smirk.gif" border="0" alt="[Smirk]" /> )

Oi! Nosy! Thought we were talking about football here! Certain academic matters require me to be somewhat itinerant this year. Don't you worry about me. By next season I'll be back in Toon where I belong.

Anyway. Still waiting for your thoughts re: cock ups and the unpredictable lads.

Touched a nerve huh? Sorry I did not realise you were on the run ;)

I was at SJP to see you beat MU and if that sort of commitment and effort was put in every week you would be at the top....Bellamy looks a good buy and if Nobby plays to his potential you could win something this season.

You'd better feckin believe you touched a nerve! Quite painful to be torn from the Toon. Especially when things are looking so bright!

Big 'if' about Nobby. I almost wish Bobby would drop him for a while. Just to show him that performances so consistently below what he is capable of are not acceptable.
