I going to be as impartial as I possibly can and say:

Keane.

But I would also say that Keane is more committed.

Some of Gerrard's performances this season have been disgusting, although he's been a lot better lately.

Mad as in totally out of his friggin' mind. That's why I love him. <img src="graemlins/keano.gif" border="0" alt="[Keano]" />

if mad, or madder, means:

1. not behaving in a politically correct sort of way, like stating the fact that, he never rated Mickie MouseCarthy as a good player, a good manager... etc., knowing fully well that it will cost his place in the world cup;

2. setting high standard and demanding professionalism of his team mates and anyone who work with him in a highly competitive football environment;

3. constantly remaining the driving force of the biggest club in the world and never is complacent with the success of the club;

4. always possess the will to win adopting a persistent and die hard attitude even in situation where other precieve as impossible;

5. taking no nonsense and impatient with those who did not measure up onand off the pitch;

6. busting up when being wrongly accused of faking injury;

7. being honest and telling the truth rather than being hyprocrites like many other nasty players;

8. coming out on his own drink problem and admit it's stupid and cost his dear;

9. couldnt care less whether others (especially the ABU media) understand him, misquote him, taking him our of context... etc etc.;

10. continue being truthful to himself and playing his best football despite being contravesial....

Then, yes, he might be mad.
