Fantasy hockey 10/11

The annual Red Cafe fantasy hockey league is up and running.
I've e-mailed last years players to the e-mail addys on yahoo but others feel free to sign up if you're interested this year as well.

Please only sign up if you're ready to at least give some time to this, makes the league more fun if the GM's can be arsed to play!

I'm gunning for the title this year, I can't believe that after storming to the league win, I lost in the play off final :annoyed:
 
That would have been better yes.
Not sure if you can fix it. No real worries to go with a new team though.
 
If anyone has any objections to the current draft time please let me know.

It's currently on Sunday at 17:00 BST (16:00 GMT).

I sent some PM's to guys here who have been in the league in the last couple of years but it seems 10 is what where going to have this year.

Feel free to try and recruit 2 more though :)

Yeah, right on, after the crushing defeat in the final last year my resolve is to go one better. So come the draft all my research will go out of the window and I'll end up drafting some stupid names and declare I'm happy with them...
 
Pretty satisfied with my team, except not getting Eberle, some auto-pick trolling me goddamnit, they usually follow the rankings, I was stunned that an autopick randomly chose him early.

Pretty sure I picked up all your other main rookies, and then a pretty good team around, except Carlson/Subban to hit 40+, Filatov/Hall/Eberle 65+, and Bernier/Neuvirth to be winning 30 with a 0.9 save and a couple shutouts.

Stupid 4 bench rule though ><
 
Quite happy with my team as well.

I went for goalies early this year, since my goalies last year were horrible.

But there's one guy I really really would like to pick up, but I can't see who I could drop at this point.
 
My team is tough as nails this year. Didn't set out to pick that way but should be pretty set on PIM then.
 
PIM and SoG shouldn't even be rewarded. Pretty weird that they are -_-
 
Was laughing so much at the Liverpool v Blackpool game that I completely forgot about the draft, so here I go to see what crap sort of team I've got.



Well apart from one minor alteration in terms of which Oiler I want in my side, it isn't too bad. I've got the secret weapon still available if I need it. I think with a few more tweaks here and there once the season goes, I'll be happy.

No I doubt it, mine's not even sure of sticking with the team for the start of the season. Rumours flying that he's been through pre-season injured. However, we'll see in the next few days. I've decided to take a quite different approach in selections this year. However, we'll wait and see, I may have given a hint of whom the secret weapon could be by the swap I've already made.
 
Can't see any swaps but yeah, I know your secret now. ;)

It's the last thing I need though, so I won't be "stealing" him (or her).

I'd be willing to part with Eberle...make me an offer and I'll think about it

I was looking forward to picking my team today, but my sister was selfish enough to go into labour. I had done the pre ranking a few weeks ago luckily and got a number of people I wanted.

PIM are a scoring stat in most fantasy leagues. The forward scoring stats have been this way in the Caf league for years now I think.
 
Pity I couldn't take part in the draft so I ended up with Huet... But he is gone already.

They are and so are SoG, but it's ridiculous such things should be rewarded. Hits and Blocks should be rewarded over them anyday of the week.

The secret weapon can't be used, well not straight away. The player I had in mind that had slipped under the radar has been cut by his team. Mind you I do know he'll probably be one of the first to be called up if needed. Pity as I think he may well have challenged one or two others for an award this year from what I've seen.
