FA Youth Cup: Leicester City vs. United

Whats the expected team for tonight? Anyone in particular to keep an eye on who could be the next player to move quickly to the senior setup?

Nobody will go from U18s into the senior set-up without playing for and impressing in the U21's, I shouldn't imagine. But I'd say that Pearson, Pereira, Wilson are the key players, and all ones that have a serious shot at making it at United.

I agree its not usual...but some can rapidly move through the ranks like januzaj has done.

From this team I think the ones most likely for a quick progression are Wilson due to his ability and Janko due to his physique and pace. Pereira definitely has the ability but has to show it more often which he is starting to do but he might take a bit longer due to his size

This is going to be the first youth game I've seen live in a while, looking forward to it.

Pearson's too old for the yoof cup.

Harrop, Pereira and Wilson are probably the 3 to keep an eye out for tonight, though Goss and the underrated Willock aren't far behind. Hopefully, Mitchell gets a few minutes off the bench as I doubt he'll start.

Actually, feck all that. Tonight is the night Redmond shows us what he's all about. Forget the rest of 'em.

I'm looking forward to seeing willock play.

Wilson's injury, is it bad? I hope not. :(
Twisted ankle apparently. Unlucky that all of Fletcher, Croskery and Redmond are injured as well so hopefully Rashford takes his chance he definitely has the ability

Yeah, we'll need a performance from Rashford. Haven't seen him play much, looking forward to it.

Was that just a pass with the shoulder?

because we have no real goalscorers in the team - and they are the ones who usually spot those chances

We'll do 'em in extra time. Mitchell to get the winner.

There should be at least 1 in there whether it be a striker or a midfielder making the run in there. No point crossing it when there is no one in the box.

Wicked deflection but we needed a bit of luck!

Pereira looks a player! Makes a good save at one end then runs up and scores from outside the box at the other end

3 minutes extra time from a 15 minute half?

Kudos to Pereira. Grabbed the game by the balls like a proper captain and was still running like a mad man in the 120th. Needs to learn when to pass it and when to go it alone though.

Ryan McConnell my man of the match tonight won every single header against the much taller Stankevicius, showed great positional sense and was an absolute magnet for the ball

Joel Pereira was excellent. They had to double up on Janko at times, and Harrop an Andreas Pereira played well too imo.
