FA Youth Cup: Huddersfield vs. United

Such bloody poor timing.

How am I expected to be able to watch this and still pay enough attention to the wife that I get some ;)

Should be a good games, especially if Wilson is fit enough to play.

I'm free - I can come over and chat her up for you, like one of those 'warm-up' stallions at a stud farm.

There are no guarantees though. You'll have to be ready to jump in at any time.

Anyway, moving on!

How do we reckon this game is going to go? Huddersfield put out a good West Brom side last time round, and are doing well in their league. We appear to be missing something in our side, although I can't really put my finger on what.

Players!
We have a shit load of players out on loan.... And this group is just put togther with what is left.

Nah, all the loan players are in the under 21 group... this is an U18 group. We started the season really well, with both Fletcher and Wilson scoring for fun. I suppose it's just been a combination of their injuries that have halted the team, as there doesn't appear to be any more out and out strikers in the system at present (until we get to the U-16s). Rashford has done his best, but he's appears to be a 10 rather than a 9 to my mind.

Yeah, we've certainly missed proper strikers and Harrop's creativity of late.

I've been waiting 27 years for a game between Huddersfield and United... finally I get one.

Sort of.

United: J Pereira, C Evans, Barber, Borthwick-Jackson, Ioannou, Goss, Janko, Willock, Wilson (c), A Pereira, Harrop.

Subs: Riley, Henderson, Mitchell, Redmond, Rashford.

Unlucky for McConnell to miss out through injury after a great season

Indeed. He's been brilliant lately. Was it PS18 who called him the most improved player this season? Hard to argue with that.

Still, that's an excellent side.

As long as we don't give away another soft goal, we'll win this. A couple of their lads look like very decent players.

well in all fairness - our track record against weaker sides in the FA Youth Cup is anything but good.

Oh Wilson. Did everything himself but should have pulled it back

Gotta say we're looking pretty poor here. Huddersfield should probably be even further ahead.

Lots of our play going down the right on the touchline, but not actually doing anything with it.

why don't we use that left flank ?????? There is no one there
