"It's a farce. The thing about Wembley for the fans and the players is it's all about getting there for the final. Holding the semis there devalues the whole competition. The FA made a mess of Wembley and are now turning to the fans to get them out of it."

Roy Williamson of the Independent Manchester United
Supporters' Association

"I do not see why football supporters should have to pay for a national stadium when there is so much money in the game."

They are quite right. 'kin FA, gone loopy it has! <img src="graemlins/houllier.gif" border="0" alt="[Houllier]" />

They were saying that if both Sheffield clubs or Manchester clubs made it to the semi's, it would be unfair to play it at Wembley. It is a farce that the venue of the final is going to be used like it used to be for semi's.

It devalues the spectacle of the Final, which i thought the FA would be keen to prevent.

i don't see what the big deal is really.

Personally the fans should be more happy as they'll get more tickets to watch their team play.

I was in Villa Park a couple of years back for the first leg of the Arsenal United game - and i thought the fans could do with a bigger stadium for this type of game to be played at.

i struggled for the tickets and bought 'em at very expensive prices too (175quid each for 4 tickets).. For the games to be played at Wembley it would increase the allotted tickets and would drive the price down.. great for the pockets of the fans..

oh aye great for manchester fans if they have to travel down for the semis and the final on top of all the other games

overpriced travel, beer, food, ticket pricing, drugs, prostitutes

-

what a joke......

semis should be played at the bigger, PL grounds.

looks like northern fans will have to make two trips to london.
