Just picked this game up in preparation of the new one coming out next month.

So far finding it fantastic, handling is impressive, loving the career starting as a test driver but it very tough, but in a good way.

One major problem though, I cannot get the picture, sun glare one minute and absolute darkness the next even on supposedly bright day. Anyone got any tips for this game getting the light right?

I have tried loads of settings on my tv, not got this problem with any other game.
 
its very scarce in the Uk. None of the major game stores have it new or pre-owned. I had a bright idea to try a local cash converters and got lucky.

£9.99 a steal as well.

Great game apart from the aforementioned lighting issue, Just hope it is only affecting test driver sessions.
 
Sadly, that once brilliant studio has been decimated because their games didn't sell enough, such a shame, RIP Psygnosis. Wipeout HD is one of the best games on the system, I think it's the only development team they have left.
 
Is it the same studio that made the cracking PS1 F1 game in the late 90's?

Uni days playing than on system link with my scouse roomates. Good times.....
 
I still play this game from time to time, infact I'm tempted to go play it now
 
Had a good go at the career now. Very good game and the graphics are much better on race days.

I didn't realise how much depth the mode had, all the testing and practice sessions where your team help develop your setup and race strategy is very well done.

The damage model works very, tires and fuel play a role in the race. A very solid title so far, I just hope the new one has more to it than just mind blowing graphics.

Don't like the mini game pit stop though, I'd rather just give instructions on fuel, tire choice etc.. rather than a silly button mash game, small gripe however.
 
Been playing this of late because I couldn't be fecked forking out money to a shit developer. Still a pretty bloody good game. Laptimes are pretty accurate and still looks good for its age. Very limited but not many stand the test of time like this. Flawless frame rate as well!
