Mods - what is the point of ghosting people? It messes up threads with pages not showing and it doesn't seem to achieve anything different to a temp ban, so if someone deserves to be not seen for a period of time why not just temp ban them?

Ghosting is good for a few things. If for example a user has posted inappropriate images in multiple places, its hard to get around and delete them all quickly. Ghosting removes them from view and gives you time to clean up.

Also if someone is being an idiot but just not enough to be banned then its a good option

Downside is that it can ruin the order of some threads

I'd just like to let the mods know that this ghosting business is seriously irritating.

I keep clicking on page numbers and then read half a page before I realise it's not a new page at all but one I've already read.
