Discussion Your Lineup Prediction

  • I have no idea what the feck I would do if I was Amorim and the injuries are going to keep many of the same out. I am sure this will not happen, but I would maybe try:

    Bayindir
    Yoro Maguire de Ligt
    Mazz XXX XXX Dorgu
    Bruno Zirkzee Garnacho

Mainoo, Ugarte, Collyer, Casemiro, Eriksen for the middies in that order.

It all sucks but seems like we need to get Bruno out of deep midfield and give Dalot a break or something to get him going....

Considered playing Yoro in midfield if Mainoo could play with him but seems he will still be out.

    Who the hell knows.....

These lot always turn up against us at Goodison and I could see us getting battered to make up for the 4 nil win at OT.

I can see the grim reaper waving the huge flag behind the united dugout yet again for this one.
It seems we are always away at Goodison at a period when the manager is on dodgy ground. Not that Amorin is as the club can’t afford to sack him.
Another blank in front of goal and another loss is all I can see from this United team right now.

just get a damn result come on. Shouldnt be dropping points in this but id be shocked if we roll thru easily. Cant imagine the negativity if somehow we lose and wolves, ipswich, and leicester all win or something.

Like it was always meant to be in some twisted fate. We come full circle with Moyes back in at Everton and he's already overtook us in the bottom half with a Felliani MK II in our squad. Also last time we face them at Goodison

I’m in Manchester City centre this weekend for non-football reasons. Can anyone suggest a decent pub to watch the game?
Apologies for posting here, if deemed to be off topic.

Saturday morning kick off as well. weekend ruined.
Can a weekend even be ruined by United at this point?
A United win brings a nice change but a defeat or draw is really just a shrug of the shoulders at this stage, for me.

3 things in life that are certain:

Death, taxes and Manchester United losing.

    Easy 3-0 win for Everton.

Looking forward to see Brantwaithe's performances.

Either he flops like last time or does well because he has been in some good form vs Liverpool and others.

Still think he would look scary in a back 3.

Moyes will be out for revenge. He's going to make it as hard and difficult for us as he possibly can.
Every manager will want to make it as hard for the opposition as possible. It's been 11 years since he was fired here, and he must have managed at least a dozen games against us since then. I doubt it's much of a factor for him.

In the league games, I'm pretty close to that stage at this point as well. A win would be a nice surprise. Even a draw at this stage. But resigned to mostly expecting league defeats nowadays. :(

Not in the cups though. Getting knocked out of those would still hurt a lot - as did the Spurs defeat in the League Cup, compared to last weeks league defeat to them.

It's wishful thinking to expect our players to put the level of effort in to make our PL games competitive, they are resigned to finishing around 15th.

I think it's the Europa and FA cup games where you may notice some urgency and commitment. So for these remaining 13 PL, if I was Amorim, I would use to gauge the youth team players and get them playing in his system.

We cruised past Everton in the reverse fixture, but a lot has changed since then. Our performances have steadily declined, while Everton, now under Moyes after replacing Dyche, have been revitalised. His return has been nothing short of brilliant.

That said, despite Amorim’s comments and the media’s narrative, we have more than enough quality to win this game—even against an Everton side in far better form.

The team we played in the reverse fixture was:

    Onana
    Mazraoui De Ligt Martinez
    Amad Casemiro Mainoo Dalot
    Rashford Bruno
    Zirkzee

At this point, we have nothing to lose. Relegation isn’t a real concern, which makes this the perfect opportunity to give some of our youth players a chance. With that in mind, the lineup I’d like to see this time is:

    Onana
    Mazraoui De Ligt Heaven
    Dalot Ugarte Moorhouse Dorgu
    Garnacho Bruno
    Zirkzee

Cant see nothing but another defeat for us. We cant score for toffee (pun intended). 2-0 to Moyes boys.

Martial had a great record against this lot, didn’t he. We used to do alright at Goodison.

I felt in the last match we at least had more goal threat with both Zirkzee and Hojlund on the pitch and Dorgu making up the numbers in attack. It would be nice to ditch one of the centre backs and play Eriksen in midfield ahead of say Ugarte and Casemiro.

But yeah, not confident at all.

Everton will throw everything at us, if we're not up for the fight this only ends one way

If we can muster up the required effort they've not much quality to really worry about and there's no reason we can't get a win here

Sadly, I suspect we'll roll over a take another pounding

    I agree.
They'll be well up for it and we won't be.

This is going to be a really tough game and I think we'll be lucky if we take a point.

the Moyes revival factor, last game Vs Utd at Goodison and an early kick off. The place will be absolutely rocking and they'll throw everything at us at 100mph from the first whistle.... Could be a really uncomfortable afternoon.

I’d love to see him given an opportunity, though I think it’d be further forward with Bruno back in CM.

I'll be surprised to see any of the inexperience kids start to be honest. Especially if we've got some of the senior players back, such as the ill ones (and not lost any of the others!)

Even last week with so many missing, I was expecting what happened to occur - all the senior ones starting, and rarely any subs made. The same as happened with ETH and Van Nistelrooy whenever we had to put out young benches.

I think similar will happen again. Especially the starting line up. I'm sure we'll go as 'strong' (senior) as we can. And if we've got a few of the senior ones back, especially the ones that were just ill, then we'll have a few more of them on the bench.

Whatever inexperienced kids will be there will mostly be 'bench fillers' again, I expect. Obi might get some late minutes again. And, depending on the score, he might give some late minutes to others. However if the scores still in the balance, like last week, then I think he'll mostly stick to his senior options again.
