UEFA Euro 2008
The demo is on the PS3 PSN store. Anyone downloaded it yet?
I have spend a hour playing it today and am finding it highly playable, to echo what i said in the Fifa 08 thread; it seem's EA have tighten up the game a lot more, its feels crispier and you have a lot more control over players. The PES fans who hated Fifa 08 (i still do at times) should download it, I can ensure you will prefer it to Fifa 08".
I said that after a couple of games and it has actually got better. You only get the choice out of 2 countries, Germany and France, but unlike the Fifa 08 demo this includes commentary which is also very good from Clive Tyldesley and Andy Townsend, it doesn't seem as repetitive as Fifa 08.
The passing system feels much slicker, one you would expect from a pro evo game. I would go as far as saying if the dash button wasn't fixed to R2 and can be assigned it to R1 it would just be like playing a game you would think was produced by Konami, it certainly a clear sign in the direction EA want to go.
Even though this is only a demo it actually feels like a finished game, where as Fifa 08 just seems like a large demo with loads of irritating features. The irony here is Euro 2008 is just Fifa 08 1.1, its a tweaked but stripped down version with less teams. I don't think i will be buying it but if they were to retail it for £17:99 like Gran Turismo prologue (another stripped down game) then i might be tempted, but looking at the prices it advertised at £40
Anyway download and give it a try.
