Manchester United are keen on the services of Real Mallorca striker Samuel Eto'o, says The Daily Star.

Sir Alex Ferguson wants the £8million-rated Cameroon star to partner Ruud van Nistelrooy as he bids for Champions League glory next season.

However if United swooped for the 22-year-old, Mallorca would want Diego Forlan as part of the deal.

I think it would be a good signing.
 
I won't pay more than GBP2mil + Forlan for Eto'o because he has not proven to be a big game player which Man Utd needs to be competitive at the European level.
