Ethan Ennis

I've never actually seen him play, apart from YouTube clips, so I've no idea of his chances of making it here. But he's done well at Liverpool, they wanted to keep him, and he was also strongly linked with Chelsea - so he's the kind of youngster we need to be targeting with Brexit hindering our chances of bringing in European U18's.

He's another to add to our growing list of young attacking talent. Good luck to him. :)

Good player but nothing to get overly excited about. He’s very direct, and shows determination on the pitch, but can also be greedy and frustrating.

Our intake of scholar this year isn’t the strongest by a long stretch so Ethan will be a good addition. I’d go as far as saying it’s the weakest intake for a good few years, so expect a fair few u16’s to be played up this season.

Well the Liverpool-fans are not happy to lose him. He scored a hat-trick in the FA Youth Cup against Sutton last season.

not being funny but the standard of Sutton academy isn’t great haha I didn’t even know they had an u18’s side until that game he scored hatrick haha.

Liverpool have invested heavily in kaide Gordon in that group, and Ethan demanded similar terms but Liverpool didn’t give in so was happy for him to leave and cash in now as they’ll get a nice compensation fee in return.

Looks brilliant. He really reminded me of Haaland actually - very direct, one track mind, scores all types of goals and seems physically stronger/faster than those around him.

Never understood why players do sliding goal celebrations etc in front of empty stands/training pitches? Its like wrestlers posing on the ropes and mugging to non existent fans over the last 12 months,

Seems to be very highly rated. Good to see our quality youth recruitment continuing

Because it's fun.

I do that shit when I put one past my 11 year old nephew, in my sister's garden.

Saw the resemblance in style like you said. Direct player, and looks like a cracking finisher.

We’ll see where he stands in 4-5 years time.

Funnily enough, that's who he reminded me of. Think it's his running style as well. Seems slightly hunched and cumbersome but is deceptively quick.

The Manchester machine seem to be well oiled again with a clear strategy, not just referring to this.

with a last name like that I feel Kenny should play him in next competitive Ireland game:)

Load up on attacking talent. I like it. Will hopefully keep McNeill and Hugill on their toes.

And I am not saying he has a similar playing style, because I have no idea, but he looks like he could be related to Arshavin.

Imagine what the rival fans will call him if he become our penalty merchant in the future

practice for when they get to do it in front of a full crowd. Imagine trying to do a Klinsman and landing on your balls in front of 80,000 fans...

Sorry about not getting it but what is about the Charlie McNeill bit mentioned in the first post?
We signed him from Liverpool back in 2011, he left us to go to City in 2014 and was signed back by us in Oct 2020 leaving City fuming. He scored 600+ goals over a 6 year period with City

edit: he apparently left us back in 2014 as City promised him a better education than we did (ie. private school etc). " “I love it here, it’s amazing, I’m just glad to be back. I’m a United fan and I love the club through and through,” striker Charlie McNeill beamed after scoring in United's third-round win over Salford City. "

no we didn’t sign him from Liverpool. You can’t sign for a club until u9’s, and charlie McNeil signed for untied at u9’s. Prior to u9’s is called pre-academy and every Tom, dick and Harry tries out every club at those ages

United 18’s will struggle for top 4 this season, that’s my prediction unless a lot of the second years remain in the u18’s, which I can’t see happening.

Just created really good scoring opportunity for himself. Wiggling from the right towards the D, setting up the ball to his right foot and let it fly. Ball flew inch over the top right bin.

Why does the coach keep using the player's full names? "Ethan Ennis! Ethan Ennis! Dan Gore! Marc Jurado!"
