All I noticed was that in the users online list it said that Niall was in the Admin Controll Panel! :smirk:

He's been clicking on checkboxes to his heart's content for half an hour, just wondering what might happen if one is on and the other is off. ;)

Its one of the ads, its one for loans/debt consiliation and has 4 options beneath it, the ad causes the saha pic at the top to come down slightly. All the other ads cause no problem, only that ones a problem.

An add should not change the HTML in the page to open links in new windows on clicking when they normally wouldn't!

Unless it is doing something funny, and something the browser shouldn't alow it to do!

I'm going to Netscape to see.

I'm on mozilla, so thats the latest netscape in effect, I think its the ad. Keep refreshing untill the pic of louis has white space above and below it, the ad ahould be on then.

I agree, it is that, but somehow it is changing the HTML!!!!!!!

Another wierd thing, is the browser will not let me see the source code of the page when that add is on it!

There is something afoot here, and I dont like it! :nervous:

As far as I can tell, that is inline HTML fecking about with its parentframe, and somebody should tell Niall to tell the Ad company to stop it now!

It concerns "Beech Finance 'The friendly face of finance'" cnuts!

Add blocker turn on time!

I suppose that if that ad pops up, the best thing to do is refresh until it has gone, then continue.

Pain in the arse though!

Dont be so bloody silly, unless you are running Netscape, or Unix or Mac!

IE on Windows 2000 :smirk:

Looking at this thread, it's pretty obvious how Weaste is almost at 20,000 posts ;)

What's the rationale behind advertising on the caf, do you think? Reckon some cnut with a goatee in the Media department stands up with a flipchart and says, "Zak, Crispin, Seb, as you know the research figures show we're missing out on an enormous market here: that's right, Muppets."

yeah been wondering wtf is going on myself. It's definitely the ad, I haven't changed any settings and the software ain't just gonna rewrite itself (that isn't supposed to happen until 2034 - see This Century vs Last Century topic in Current Events ;) )

I'll filter out the ad shortly.

Anyone got the name of the company advertising? Having a hard time tracking down the ad so I can filter it...

Not sure if it's the one causing the problems, but there was a Flirting or Dating site up there when I logged on this morning :nervous:
