Absolute undeniable living Manchester united legend.

I have absolutely no reason for saying this, just felt like saying it to people who appreciate this fact.

Every time we play I miss him, wish he hadn't retired so young. He can't act. But boy could he play, a genius at work.

Of course he is, but so are a few others. And he is not The living legend IMO.

Bit melodramatic that Neil. Are you really saying that not a match goes by without you thinking of Eric?

Bit of poetic license maybe. ;) But looking at our team at the moment and I would rather have Cantona in it than even Ronaldinho.

Eric wasn't himself in his last season..

At is age? 'Kin hell Neil, you'd need a time machine for that to make sense.

he scored two goals against Forest...

but, that wasn't enough, to become a legend, sadly. ;)

<img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" /> He'll never age in my eyes - though he looked a bit overweight in those photos. ;)

me still have his video showcasing some of the goals he scored for us .. breathtaking is an understatement...

King Eric. I went to the home game v Wimbledon the week before we signed him. We were terrible, lost 1-0. Worse than v Siddy on Saturday. I wrote to the Pink for the only time in my life. How were we ever gonna win the title playing like that. The following week Fergie signed him from Leeds & we went on to win our first league title in 26 years. For me, George was the greatest and Dennis will always be a hero, but Eric's the King.

I couldnt agree more Eric the King was the best thing I have seen at Old Trafford for a long time and Im not afraid to admit that my eyes welled up a bit when he left, he was and is irreplaceable and the only person in the premiership charisma wise and nearly talent wise is de canio so perhaps Fergie will buy him in January

to the king..

i always have to watch United games on TV - but i have seen him play in person once when we beat the shit out of Newcastle 4-0 for the 1996/1997 Charity Shield.. it was superb..

my favourite moment was when i saw a fan on TV with the word "Le God" written on the back of his number 7 shirt.. that was it.. i've always thought he was God on the field...

and i agree with Neil.. i miss Eric everytime we play.. he gave much more than just performance.. he gave class to this club..

Never seen his like b4, probably never will again.

He was 100% pure magic.

The grace. The finesse. The touch. The stride. The movement. The Pass. The Kick. The Awareness. The Knowledge.

The Mind

of Eric Cantona.

And, I MUST add:

The Personality.

One of a kind. There never was.

And there never will be.

Anything like him. Again.

Yes he can.

Feckin' treason.

I hate arrogance.

But in Eric I loved it. :D

And his acting isn't bad from what I've seen. He was OK in Elizabeth.

 What have I said.......

Actually, the last photo shown was from a European Cup loss and a disappointing one it was. That was NOT a magic moment but thanks anyway for the photos.

This season especially I have also been thinking about Eric. Sure, in his last season he was not himself but think what the early Eric (when he was signed from Leeds) and Eric at his peak could have done for our team now. We need some of that magic - Eric may be seen as over-rated by some but not by me.

The man could turn a game - and we really need that now. If the whole team is playing as it should together, you don`t need to rely on individual brilliance but the team now is not playing cohesively or consistently. We need an Eric Cantona but there is no other Eric.

:( :( :( :( :( :( :(

Eric was truly the king, all hail the king!

That said we do have the player who could become the new king, Juan Sebastian Veron! :)

All hail Seba!

I don't think so. He can improve all he likes - he'll never have the same command and charisma as Eric. Eric was unique.

This is very true, personality wise and the aura that was Eric is impossible to replicate! They should knight him!

Eric sans shirt? seems magic to me
besides it was meant to represent his walking away....
