Non-racing equestrian in this thread.
So, it's basically just general show jumping, eventing, and dressage.

Helen Langehanenberg's brilliant kür in Gothenburg --

Are you going for the record of unpopular threads in one day?

Dressage is one of the most ridiculous things I have seen in my life. I was shocked when I realised it was an Olympic "sport"

 What are you even on about?

Anyway, you can either keep thinking that dressage is silly, or try and understand. No skin off my nose if you don't get it.

To keep this on topic, the famous Marzog and Ahlerich pas de deux --

Ah yes, the Gratuitous fangirling. I clicked to see just how gratuitous and it was this horse that's hopping around. I don't know from horse dancing, though I would have to say it's the finest I've ever seen. Same for that kur. Magnificent indeed.

So how did you get into this stuff? No offense at all intended, but it seems a very surreal thread. For whatever reason though, it's cheered me right up.

You've got phenomenal taste in music btw.

 You're much too kind & I love this post.

Why I got into it? And wasted my youth on drugs, dressage, United & Wagner? I've no idea why. I've just always loved everything which could take me out of the mundane, up and above.
