England squad: Vaughan (capt), Joyce, Bell, Pietersen, Strauss, ******gwood, Flintoff, Bopara, Nixon, Dalrymple, Plunkett, Anderson, Mahmood, Lewis, Panesar.

Quite predictable, with the exception of Bopara.

Tough on Mal Loye.:(

I also think Sajid is too expensive in one dayers. I would have liked Broad to be given a chance, looked very promising last year.

Thought Strauss might be the one to go after an abysmal winter down under.

I'm gutted for Mal. He was a breath of fresh air opening the innings. We've got too many similar types of batsmen. I think Lewis is the right pick but I think Broad should be a regular in the test and ODI side after the world cup.

Where's Owais Shah? And no back-up wicketkeeper?

Ed Joyce is apparently backup wicket keeper. In a 15 man squad, I'm not for a backup wicket keeper. Not that it matters, injured players can be replaced anyway.

As for Mal Loye, can't believe how short sighted the selectors are. Even if he didn't quite score like he'd have wanted, the way he got our innings off to a rapid start was something we desperately needed. Also, short boundaries in the Caribbean - nudgers and nurdlers or big aggressive hitters? Not bloody hard to work out is it. Personally I'd have dropped Strauss, he isn't a one day player.

Having said all this, I fully expect Loye to be facing NZ come out first group game. Even if Vaughan overcomes his hamstring problem, he'll surely pick up something else in the two warm up games

Loye should of been included. Maybe not a starter but if we're struggling.

Squad about right I reckon, with the exception of Loye. He should have been in for Strauss just to give us something different if and when need be.

The selectors all know what Strauss can do at one day level, which is not much, recent form especially, and now we only have two players who can really get the run rate up and take the game away from the opposition, which puts extra pressure on them.
