Would an England team consisting of players not taken to the Euros actually beat the team in the Euros? For comparison the team Southgate starts is :

Kane
Foden Bellingham Saka
Rice Gallagher
Trippier Guehi Stones Walker
Pickford

A hypothetical at home England team would be:

Solanke
Rashford Grealish Sancho
Maddison Jones
Chilwell Braithwaite Maguire White
Trafford

Goes to show the talent pool is great and the manager would only have himself to blame if they win f all again.

Where's Kobbie?

I brought this up in the Southgate thread. You could make a reasonably decent squad out of players not included in this one. It's absolutely not a talent issue.

Who’s Jones? I don’t think I know who that is.

Keeper, LB and CM are dreadful for the B team. And I wouldn't play Sancho at tiddlywinks but that's just personal. Sterling RW for me.

I think a more interesting question is how Southgate's preferred 11 would fare against an alternative team. If the team the OP listed is Southgate's team, our B team could be something like:

Henderson
TAA -- Konsa--Branthwaite--Chilwell
Mainoo--Wharton
Palmer--Eze--Gordon
Watkins
Who would win, Southgate's team or my team? Could have White at RB instead of Arnold.

If you put Maddison at #10 instead of Grealish, and find a good #6 to play with Curtis Jones in a double pivot, or even someone like Kalvin Phillips, then I think the B team has way more team balance than whatever Southgate has been trying to do.

There are goals in that lineup.

Southgates team as long as Southgate wasn't manager.
