This lad looks special. Messi is Mor's idol and you can tell he has modeled himself after him. Fatih Terim persuaded the 18-year-old to play for Turkey rather than Denmark and he has not only impressed in his first two caps, he's also been included in Turkey's Euro squad. Looks like Denmark missed out.

Twas reported he was set to join Dortmund about a week ago but it turned out it wasn't a done dealio after all. At the moment Liverpool seems closest to his signature but it's reported (danish media/daily mail/mirror) United has also shown interest.

So, we want to sign the next Messi? Here's our chance (lel).

Goal against Copenhagen:

Debut against Montenegro:

Second cap against Slovenia:

Season (?) highlights:

Seems that his transfer to Dortmund is all done according to German Media.

Yeah, it was widely reported a done dealio but it turned out it wasn't. Have you found something new?

He'll do well to break into that Bayern side the year after next.

Just had a look at rumors from today and Bayern were mentioned

Some italian media (tuttomercato) says Juve, Torino and Sassuolo watched him against Slovenia.

Fun fact: "Mor" means "mum" in Danish.

On top of Kicker's news (which are more reliable), Bild claim his agents have been in Dortmund and agreed personal terms, so that it is up to the clubs to negotiate fees now.

As proof they posted an image although it cannot be verified if this picture was taken in Dortmund. The big chubby guy on the right is his agent though (Muzzi Özcan):

You know why they reported it a done deal the other week when it wasn't? So Dortmund are acting fast now that many new clubs have come in for him. Tuchel seems to give youngsters a chance so i think it would be a good move for him.

Bild report almost everything as done deal so they can claim they were the first ones reporting it. That's one of the reasons they cannot be taken seriously.

That Kicker back the story adds credibility to this particular story though.

Edit: Dortmund are known to not just monitor but also contact interesting players from a young age on. That's why I don't think Dortmund act fast but just under the radar.

Yeah, the two years of CL will prepare him better for that than two years in the EPL at Pool or United...
Ouch.

Cheers. Might as well move this thread to the football forum then :(

I wonder how Dortmund will fit in all these youngsters. I suppose Passlack can play as RB/RWB, but Pulisic, Dembele, Mor all seem like highly talented players at the same age for the same roles.

That's usually how I set up my club for world domination in FM

Perfect response for all the he'll join Bayern banter.

Dortmund it seems are betting big on young players. Not that familiar with Tuchel's previous work, is he famous for that thing?

Yes and yes but not limited to youngsters. Tuchel has been a youth coach for almost 10 years and won the German U19 Bundesliga with his team (against BVB) before he became head coach of Mainz. At Mainz, he developed many youngsters into Bundesliga players (including but not limited to Andre Schürrle, Lewis Holtby, Johannes Geis to name a few) but also players who weren't youngsters anymore.

There are players we need mor.

I'll get my coat.

Needs to stop waving imaginary yellows and rolling around on the floor. Very un-Messi-like.

This guy is so hyped here in Denmark, and DBU (Danish FA) have been blasted for not doing more to get him to play for Denmark.

Ouch.

That was quick: Mor put pen on paper. Contract supposed to run until 2021, to be officially confirmed by BVB.

Dortmund signs next Messi and not us :(

I'll start a thread with the next Pelé and see if that works.

According to Kicker the fee is €9.5m.

I thought Dortmund were a ruin and could not attract any players, let alone beat a mighty PL side to a signing.
