Salford-born talent really making waves this season at Everton. I'd say she's already one of the best keepers in the WSL. Supporting this is the nomination for the WSL Player of the Month for December and the recent call-up to the England squad. I really like her path of development, reminds me a little of how Dean Henderson's loan path was structured. Am I the only one to have full trust in Ramsey, in case Earps ever decides to move on? The only thing I'm not sure of is how comfortable she is in possession and how good her passing is?

Edit: @jojojo feel free to merge, can't believe I somehow missed the original thread on ER.

I remember seeing her live for Stoney once, and she looked nervous and made a few clangers. She was one of the girls who’d been at the club as a kid. Seems she’s come leaps and bounds now. That said, Mary Earps is a fantastic no 1 for us, and I hope ahe’ll stay for many years.

Quite a lot of young keepers are nervous. And yeah of course I hope Earps will play the rest of her career at United. But in case she doesn't, I'd say there is a good chance Ramsey could make the step up. Hope she keeps up her form and who knows with a bit of luck she might make it to the WC (probably not).

"I know both Sandy (MacIver) and (Ellie) Roebuck really well," said Ramsey. "And obviously Mary (Earps) who is more experienced. I have really enjoyed coming into that goalkeeper group. I have a good relationship with Mary, obviously, from United and I've always worked well with her."

"We have a good dynamic when we're training together so she's definitely someone that I look up to, with where she's taken herself to in the last couple of years and the success that she's had, as well as striving to compete with her.

"We have a competitive environment, which I think is really important. It's not coming in and - yes, Mary is (England) number one - but it's that training, that competitive edge and me competing against her almost. It's a fun environment to be in but, also, it pushes everyone."

"I think it's something you'd be silly not to think about - it is there (World Cup selection) but, for me, my focus all season has just been club and trying to cement myself and play games and play against the best teams in the league.

"There are four goalkeepers on this camp and three will be in the squad for the World Cup. It's a competition, realistically. I would love to be there but nothing can be taken for granted. Obviously, going away and playing in the WSL is the only thing that's going to ultimately push everyone to that level."

"It (being part of the England squad) feels great," she said. "I didn't actually know what to say when Sarina (Wiegman) rang me. I think I just said thank you. I was just at home, sitting on my sofa and saw it was Sarina's number, I just thought 'oh my god'.

"But it has been great and I'm really enjoying it so far. Sarina has always been open to the fact that if you are playing well and regularly you're in with a chance."

Joins Everton on a permanent 3-year deal after spending last season there on loan.

Not a surprise. They really did want her after her loan and she should do well there long-term.

Yep. Was thinking Villa might go for her but this is a good move for her as she knows the club and players already. Happy for her as she’ll get a lot of responsibility which can only help her develop and reach the high potential she has.
