Watched Ajax v Feyenoord this weekend and the kids made a believer out of me. Excellent stuff.

have seen him play a few times. always impressive. a few on here have suggested Zanetti for the RB spot, IMO Emerton is twice the player..and younger. whoever gets him is going to have one hell of a player on their hands in the future.

What impresses me is his versatility as a player, multi dimensional player who can play in many different positions, he is like three for the price of one...

work permit??????

As an Aussie have watched him since his days with Sydney Olympic. Have always thought that he had Kewell-ish potential if not more. Wonderfully skilled, is quick strong and can tackle. His best place is RM tho... altho he has done well at Rb for Feynoord. Did disappoint me in the WC qualifiers tho when the real presuure was on he went missing. But yeh whichever English club gets him next yr (and he WILL go to Eng) will have a great player on their books.

I think he'd be a useful addition to the squad. Although we have plenty of players in his positions. What we really need is a Left-back, because we'll only have Silvestre at LB position after Irwin retires.

and a Mr Philip Neville, a more than capable stand in.

I think Phil is a better RB than LB, and what if both Gary and Silvestre get injuried??? Buy a left-back or bring someone from the youth team.
