Elon Musk

She said it in an interview with the German equivalent of the BBC

I think I slightly misquoted her, she said she's not queer, not sure if she mentioned lesbian

On the same vein, her partner is allegedly from Sri Lanka. One thing that I noticed with these lunatics is that they often live lives that are in contradiction with the politics they promote.

This is almost parody though.

When you take a step back and ignore the damage they do to society, then it's amusing but I wonder how so many people believe their nonsense.

0% chance. They might end up having a spectacular result and ending up second biggest party in the Bundestag, but no one will go near them to form a government.

Some fun facts about Deutschland First Alice Weidel. She lives in Switzerland, for tax reasons. Her party is deeply homophobic, she herself is a lesbian married to another woman. According to her own words though, she's not lesbian, she just happened to find her soul mate in a woman.
It never ceases to amaze me that so many people blindly follow these types. Everything about it just seems grifting cnut.

Well, I guess it's mostly the racism and intolerance that resonates with their voters.

What exactly is a fecking computer and where can I buy one? For research.
Beware of computers though

I haven't used Linux in a while but it looks extremely off. Aren't you supposed to put the folder/file name after calling "rm --rf"?

Something like: rm --rf "foldername"

Yeah, and he's putting a (very wrong looking) output on the same line as this command, none of it makes sense.
I'm hardly an expert either, but nerds would pride themselves on at least minimal accuracy within jokes, and he got nowhere close.

She said: „I’m not queer, I’m married to a woman I have known for 20 years.“

So yes, the quote is that ridiculous.

If she is a woman who is primarily or solely attracted to other women, then she is by definition a lesbian.

My thoughts are that she and her son can feck off into hell.

He's bragging about how he's one of the top ranked players at Path of Exile, and he streams himself playing on bought accounts clearly not knowing how the game works. How is the world's richest person so insecure? It's so god damn pathetic.

it has to be some form of unhealed, unchecked child-hood trauma

I mean it's almost always that isn't it?

the trouble with people like musk is they surround themselves with yes men so things like this get left to fester and get worse, instead of being addressed and worked on

On a Chinese account no less

He's Alan Partridge with hundreds of billions in the bank.

His character is now dead apparently, so the people who did all the work must be pissed.

How do people not see through his bs?

He's a big part of the reason California had delays over its California High Speed Rail. Now he's trying to shut it down using evidence of said delays. He's scum.

I think people would enjoy this (starts around 01:30). There are parts where they have pulled out sections from the 2 newer books on Elon and Twitter and MY GOD, the dude is a bigger head case than most of us could imagine.

This is actually my all time favourite podcast. I think a lot of people would enjoy their other episodes as well.

It’s a decent podcast. Far too centrist for libcafe, mind you. I referenced it once in the Starmer thread which immediately prompted a character assassination of the hosts.

Not* to be pedantic but Liberalism is traditionally centrist - left socially, right economically. It’s the Americans shifting of the Overton window that has somehow put liberalism in the same frame as communism. Leftcafe is a much more accurate label anyway.

*actually every intention of being a pedant.

Ok I’ll go with Leftcafe from now on. Wokecafe another option but not sure it scans as well.

well if any leftists are hesitant, Ian says in this episode that learning some of the newer things about Elon "makes him want to be a trotskyist" and Dorian says "he wants to burn down capitalism". So....something for everyone?

I’m sure the pair of them come across as basically communist from a US political perspective. They’re very much centrist dads through the jaundiced eye of Leftcafe.

Not* to be even more pedantic, but liberalism is both traditionally left (when the French Revolution happened and the liberals were sitting on the left side of the chamber, creating the left-right dichotomy), centrist (for the reasons you say), and right-wing (bourgeois as opposed to socialist). In Norway the social-liberal Venstre ("Left") and the conservative Høyre ("Right") have been the closest of partners since WW2.

*same

feck me, you're both as bad as each other. Have you thought about dating?

Highlighting this post for when Pogue inevitably shows his true colours in the next twelve months and he comes out as a far right loon. Iol
