Essentially he paid someone to get him one of the best characters in the world, has no clue what things mean, and has been streaming it on X and basically has no clue what is going on.

I don't follow politics much these days but why is he so concerned with GB / the UK?
My guess is that it's because the EU has become public enemy number one for Twitter/Facebook etc for trying to make sure their businesses are properly regulated and taxed. If he can get some power and influence in the Uk he can use that to make life difficult for the EU.

I think Musks aim is just to roll out his products and win government contracts. He's working backwards from that and trying to make sure there's as little regulation as possible in place and he has the political influence needed when the time comes.

At the same time it makes me almost as angry to see how utterly unprepared western society is for all this bullshit. For years and years experts warned about social media and the consequences. Nothing happened in order to prepare for this. Every government that allows social media sites like X, TikTok and so on to act with this little regulation is completely failing its people. We’re just bending over for the autocrats, while telling ourselves that we must remain civil and nice to them.
I swear, people in the west watched a single movie about Gandhi and ever since deluded themselves that you can fight autocrats by being nice and by giving them hugs. It’s so moronic.
He may have a few random beefs with various countries and leaders in Europe, but most of this trolling is being done to impress Trump so that it leaves him with the impression Elon can be a reliable agent to exert pressure on foreign governments and publics on Trump's behalf. He did the same thing with members of Congress where he threatened to primary anyone who pushed back against Trump's policies. In exchange, Trump will allow Elon to receive favorable government contracts for SpaceX and subsidies for Tesla. There's always an underlying financial grift at play when it comes to Musk and politics, and this is no exception.
How is he's destroying your democracy when he's not doing something undemocratic? I hate the guy, but he's allowed to voice his opinion at the end of the day,.
