The other week (as discussed a few pages before) Musk penned an op-ed in the German right-wing/center-right daily "Die Welt", calling on Germans to vote for right wing extremist party AfD (which is in parts actual Neo-Nazi), apparently invited to do so by Matthias Döpfner himself, CEO of the Welt's publishing house Axel Springer who also infamously run BILD and now own Politico.
There was strong protest about this within the editorial board of the newspaper (which is close to the CDU and FDP parties), and the chief opinion editor of Welt even publicly announced her resignation.... in a tweet.
It seriously scares me that people who were so distrusting of the EU, where we directly elected MEPs, as a source of outside interference are so welcoming to the prospect of a South African meddling in US politics influencing our politics
