Elena Baltacha dies of liver cancer

I know this has been posted in the Tennis thread, but I kind of thought it's more appropriate it has its own thread.

Former British number one tennis player Elena Baltacha has died of liver cancer, aged 30.

Won Nottingham, less than a year ago. It's hard to get your head around how quickly cancer can get even someone young and fit.

Waking up and seeing this news was horribly sad. Only finished playing end of last year and then a few months after the diagnosis she passes away. RIP
