Sir Alex Ferguson hopes to buy a forward, with Hernan Crespo and Eidur Gudjohnsen the favourites...

Discuss.

According to that Eidur is getting more votes than Ronaldinho  . Although I watch as many games as I can and see the news etc etc I've never really looked at EG and when they beat us 3-0 we had more of a bad day then them having a good day so I'm not really sure about him. he scores some good goals but has he got pace and will he cut it in the CL against the best dfenders?? I have my doubts

I would prefer EG than Ronaldinho.
EG was class last saeson SAF would want to get him to calm down a bit of we could have another disco
;)

People who use the Veron/Stam situation as a way to say a deal is imminent are on another planet. Who's to say if Crespo came he wouldn't have the same problems settling in as Seba ? I'd also say from a distance Crespo and Ruud can't play together. ;)

errrr.....gazza, from a distance it's quite difficult for anybody to play together, no?! :p

Ole and Ruud didn't look on paper a good partnership, but they were the best in europe last season. I think Lopez is more likely than Crespo due to the valuations of those two players. That BBC poll had Ronaldinho in the lead when I voted for him, so which of you cnuts swung it the other way? ;)

Everythings pointing towards Crespo for me

* He's exciting, young, pacey and scores goals

* Having another Argie on board would be a plus for Veron

* It would solve the Lazio-Stam-debt issue

All adds up to me

Crespo isn't that young compared to the other 2. Just turned 27.

Crespo would be great at Old Trafford especially linking up with his best mate Seba Veron. But i dont think Fergi will buy Eidur,Hernan or Damien because of the price. I think it will Gomes to Old trafford for around 6million, with Fiorentina in Seria C now i can't see them turning down millions.

I think its gonna be Crespo and I wouldn't be all that surprised if Veron went in the other direction. I hope he doesn't but I can just picture Fergie at a press conference saying that with the performances of Nicky Butt lately we simply don't have the room for six world class midfielders so we let Veron go to give us more options up front. All speculation but I would love to see Crespo at OT.

Would you really be that surprised. I would hate to see him go but it wouldn't be that big of a shock really would it? What with all the speculation etc.

I'd be stuned.

Our preparation for this season looks spot on. Everyone fired up with points to prove. Rio on board and looking the bollox.

If Veron left now it would upset everything! :( [/QUOTE]

Fair point. Hope your right.
